Hello Sunshine

Well HELLO… it’s super exciting that you’re here reading my VERY FIRST BLOG POST… I can’t believe that I’ve finally done it… stepped into the slightly frightening and ever so exciting world of blogging!
Ideas for my first post have been swimming about in my head for months, but when I finally sat down to start, they all disappeared like magic! I have to admit I’ve made a trillion drafts, but crumbs what on earth would people want to know about me? Then I decided.. and here we are!
I’m going to make a guess that you’ll probably be happy getting to know more about me over the course of time (if you decide to stick with me of course!), I’m hoping what you’d really like to see is some crochet... AND a link to a pattern or two, AND maybe the links to some beautiful yarn... I hope I’m right!
So, let me introduce you to my first ever pattern...

The HELLO SUNSHINE MANDALA cushion, I hope she makes you smile? With her happy nature and little LOVE HEARTS? And if that isn't enough... there are also a few little extras included, to say a big thank you for all you support ...
TheHELLO SUNSHINE SQUARE, with both the one colour and multi colour instructions AND The HELLO SUNSHINE BLANKET which are available to BUY right now...
I've used Rico creative cotton for both the cushion and blanket. I love the range of colours and how beautiful and soft it is.
I actually made my very first blanket using this lovely yarn, it's now been used every day for about three years and it just seems to get better.
I really do love these colours together, they remind me of summer days and lolly pops!
The making of the blanket was a happy accident really. I originally wrote the mandala pattern as a one off, but I got a bit carried away with the lovely yarn, and how it lights up in the sunlight. I wrote the pattern for the square as a multi coloured granny and then thought about it in just one colour... and here we are, the pattern includes instructions for both the one colour and the multicolour too!
I can't wait to take them on picnics in the sunshine during the summer holidays and on a grey day they'll remind me of days gone and yet to come.
